For the compatibility of the Customer Price Rules and the Magento Group Price are listed the following case scenarios.




CASE 1: If we have set the following configuration:  


- Customer from customer group General;

- Specific Magento group price for General group;

- Catalog Price Rule that applies for the customer group General;

Catalog Price Rule that applies to a customer that belongs in that group; 


the calculation for the price display is the following:

 

  1. The Magento group price is taken in the calculation of the final discount price.
  2. Apply the specific Individual customer rule.
  3. Apply the rule referring to the General customer group. 


CASE 2: If we have set the following configuration


Customer from customer group General;

- Specific Magento group price for General group; 

Catalog Price Rule that applies for the customer group General;

- Two Catalog Price Rule specific to a customer that belongs in that group (with a different discount);  

- Module configuration option "Apply to highest discount" enabled;   


the calculation for the price display is the following:

  1. The Magento group price is taken in the calculation of the final discount price.
  2. The two specific individual customer price rules are applied (checking which of the two has bigger discount and chooses that one) 
  3. Apply the rule referring to the General customer group. 


CASE 3: If we have set the following configuration


- Specific Magento group price for "Not Logged In" customer group;

Catalog Price Rule that applies to a "Not Logged In" customer group  


the calculation for the price display is the following:


  1. The Magento group price is taken in the calculation of the final discount price.
  2. Based on the Magento group price, the rule for the not logged in customer group is applied.
